UPS plane crash under investigation for Li-Poly batteries

This may be the turning point for cheap shipping of Li-Poly batteries.

Apparently this plane had many Li-Pos onboard. None of which were registered as hazardous.

Maybe this will force companies to try and make lipo batteries that don't catch fire.

The article says "The ban affects shipments of non-rechargeable lithium batteries, such as those made by Energizer Holdings Inc. and Procter & Gamble Co.'s Duracell brand."

That's non-rechargeable.

We think Lipos are expensive in the states now? Wait till they are ban from overseas shipping. The US distributors are going to have a field day!! We will be going back to rubber band power.
