Boats on the brain!!

I believe the people who run the boat house enjoyed having us there and have asked us to return again next year. The crowd seemed to be of a better caliber of people than at the other place.

Good pictures Phil, you covered it pretty good. I only got a few pictures and they werent very good. My camera belongs in a museum. That triple cockpit did indeed have a flawless finish and awesome sound system. I had a long conversation with the owner, it was incredible what he did to get that finish. He said he got tennis elbow doing all that sanding. The boat with all the rowers what really interesting. Alot of engineering went into that one. Lots and lots of Chris Craft's to look at. Not much stuff with guns on them. Not a single Springer to be found. The venue was awesome!! Im going to go back soon and just hang out. Perfect place for a regatta....perfect!

Fabulous photos Phil! Thanks!

I think the shade canopy was a real nice perk. Better than having the sun beat down on ya for two days.

The new venue looks awesome!

Ya I got my boat stuck out a ways and instead of bothering somebody else with a recovery they let me take a paddle boat. Thanks again Keith!!!

Also a big thank you for all the people who worked the event. It was no small task and I can't wait till next year!!!

What you mean with all those tug boats no one wanted to do a real rescue...

Man my tug just sits waiting for the fun...

Looks like a real fine event. NICE location! Anyone know who built the model of the Queen City sternwheeler with the wharfboat and tug? (photo #296) I might try to make it next year. Hope the date will be the same - 1st weekend in Oct.- and maybe I won't have a conflict.

Had a slight delay in uploading these(they still are uploading actually, the files are huge), but here is a link to my gallery. There are 77 pictures there so keep checking back if it doesn't have them all, they are very slowly uploading.

Be sure to check out the big versions of the pictures by either selecting XLarge or bigger when you have the mouse over the big picture or by simply clicking Slideshow in the top right corner.
