I just ordered the aero-naut 10x10 carbon....ive had good luck with them ....they are pricey but speed is the goal and test show a gain in rpm with less draw for the same thrust and speed as apc props.

Hi,

I have many, many flights on a E-Flight Advance 25e powered by a Power 25 870 KV motor on 4S 4500 HV 40C batteries, a 60 amp ESC, and a APC 11X10E prop. I would think the 10X10 would work just fine.

Good luck!

I have the 1250kv motor so your 870kv could handle a larger prop with ease

the 10x10 carbon should be here by tomorrow....weather is garbage up here in NY so hopefully I can test on of these evenings ....Il run it up on the watt meter anyway....9x9 is making 930watts about 55amps right now on 4s.

10x10 is mounted up and ready for radar test tomorrow!

update: 10x10 was too much prop.... I figured I was maxed out where I was anyway but glad I ran it up on the watt meter first!

1375watts @ 93amps wide open with 4s 2400mah lipo HV ....after only 2 consecutive 4 second pulls it was getting in the danger zone....the little power 25 is tuff but not that tuff for back to back speed runs it would burn up for sure!

...with the new battery and same 9x9 prop its pulling more than last season 1050watts still at 63-65amps which you can drag on it all day even static nothing more than luke warm motor and esc both ....looks like the max power to efficiency window is met.

Rudder extension

As an experiment, decided to extend the rudder. The extension can be easily removed as it is attached with strips of scotch tape. Will advise on flight performance.

Next time I go out will take some GPS speed readings with 3s and 4s batteries with the Power 15 setup and will advise. Very fun to fly on 4s.

after some tweaks and new batteries...new high speed record tonight was 121mph! even after the peak power dropped I was still getting 114-117mpg.....amazing what it can do for a plane that has trike gear and made to be a park flyer....
