What do you all think of the Nine Eagles Solo Pro

What are the pros and cons? Is it worth it?

Here is a link to where I think I would buy it from: http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=4382

It's the best value for money micro FP in its class.

If you get it, order this as well: http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=3930

It's a wall charger that can charge 2 batteries at a time. You won't get by without it, charging off the transmitter takes too long and drains the TX batteries very quickly.

Also worth noting that HeliPal have the deluxe version for $99. It comes in a nice aluminium case and includes the wall charger and 2 batteries.

You could also order the case from Miracle-Mart separately if you wanted to as well, it's only $16: http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=4109.

There's a nice range of aftermarket parts available too, the landing skids are of interest: http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...ha_filter_id=0

If you have experience with other single rotor micros, you will find it's performance and movement authority quite gentle. If not, you will like it just fine. I found the posts in the main shaft, where the bladeholders attach, to be very fragile. If you cut them off, drill through the shaft and replace them with CF rod, you will eliminate a major annoyance.

I have never flown a single rotor heli except for a friends msr for a short while. I also own a mcx.

Is it the same as these: http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...rticle_id=1281

Yes, the Solo Pro is exactly the same, minus the cosmetic differences. The Proto Max is just a re-branded version of it.

It's a great micro heli
I got the deluxe version as it worked out best value in the long run

It's tough as a pair of old boots, can'r recall how many times it's been into the wall or floor and the only time anything broke was when I let my good lady have a go and she managed to break the blade head (like stated above)
I used a 2mm hex key cut down to 13mm long and drilled a hole right through for it, it took me about 10 minutes to do, easy and permament fix

You might want to get a spare linkage set as these are plastic and fragile, I managed to break one or two due to being ham fisted when removing them

As for it being less than responsive than some others, well I'm not so sure
There are two postions for the linkages on the swash plate, one for advanced and the other for novice, when I first had mine on advanced I couldn't control it so I set it to novice mode and learned for a while before putting it back to advanced
Not to be confused with the two modes which are switchable on the controller

Please keep in mind the Solo Pro really is the most gentle of the self-stabilizing single rotor micros. This type of heli is a very good place to start, but is a long way from being able to fly a conventional non-stabilized heli. It's a baby step, so don't get over-confident.
