Hi Mike,
It is a spray can from Rona. (Rona's own brand) called grass green. Should be easy to find.

Thanks Norm - looks close to a similar green that Walmart had used on fellow from Nanaimo's boats. I'm close to a Rona!

Hi Norm - local Rona didn't have it but asked if I could get them the number off the can and they'd see what came up. Thanks, mike

Finally, enough water in the pond

Yup! finally got the city to add water to the pond, so was able to test out my log barge. Still don't have a big enough ballast tank for log dumping. Its getting there. a nudge from the tug dumped some of the logs off. Oh well back to the drawing board. Was pleased with the tow winch operation as I was able to winch the fully loaded barge in while under tow.

That is really awesome, Cant wait to see a video when you get the tipping/ballasting system worked out! did you use a low friction paint on the deck, or wax it to help?

Cheers

Thanks for the cudo's guys. Travelled down to BAMM's BBQ sunday at the pond. Had a great time and enjoyed meeting some of the guys. Got some hints and help from Ron Burshett on how to achieve my goal of completing a log dump. Back to the dry dock!!!

sailing in campground

Hello Norm

I don't know if you are aware of the latest rule in the campground...model boaters are banned from sailing in the months of July and August, all other months are OK. Apparently a camper sailed his hydro with children nearby and a concerned camper complained...the owners had no choice but to create new rules.
A fast electric could cause serious damage to a child with only the head above water...Last week my 40 inch cutter was broadsided by a large hydro, fortunately it survived. I will not sail when fast electric are on the pond.

Cheers and best wishes

Leaky Bill
