Beautiful day on the pond

Finally, a warm calm day on the pond. Got the first loaded trial of the barge. Again, no leaks. Not much freeboard left for more logs so will have to be satisfied with the load I have. Have to find a w/w pump to fill the dump tank. Thats next.

Getting there

Thanks all for the words of encouragement. Finally got a ww pump. Not too easy to find. After testing, I found that I could run the pump forward or backward just by reversing the batt. Used an old mechanical speed control switch for the pump function with a servo. Just need a 12v gel cell now and should be ready for dumping trials. Not sure if my balast tank is large enough, so may have to add to it. The reversible pump, makes it a lot easier to fill and empty the tank without getting into a plumbing nightmare.

Another great day

Thanks Pops and RG. Great weather, good friends, calm water, other than a beer in hand, what more could a guy want. Hopefully it is not the last of the season, but the weather is supposed to change for the worse. Barge just needs a battery and then tipping trials. Thanks to Mark for some great pictures.

Sorry, can't seem to get the pics to upload

That first picture in the last set is definitely the "hero" shot.

That is a great looking barge! What is the brand/color - green - that you used?
