Hello....!!! Anybody home?? Going out with my Buddy Bob and his wife today. Gonna grab some pizza and beers. Was gonna go to Revere Beach but, Bob wasn't up to it. As I was thumbing through my March addition of my VFW magazine, I came across the last part (6 of 6) of "Music & War." A part of that story goes like this:

The 571st Air Force Band, an Air
National Guard unit from Missouri,
became a YouTube sensation with more
than 1.4 million hits when it performed
Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.
“We were at a military location and the
guys on the docks were loading our stuff
onto a plane for a flight to Afghanistan,”
Capt. John Arata told the St. Louis PostDispatch. “So to thank them, we pulled
out some acoustic instruments and gave
them a little performance.

Now over 2 million hits!! The wife and I really like Adele's music and if you do too, this soldier does a hell of a job singing this song.

Enjoy:
Mike.

Thanks Lee. I thought you'd appreciate some "Git-Fiddlin' " guitar music

If some of you want to read the VFW magazine, it's completely free, from cover to cover. You don't need to be a member.

Log in here: http://www.vfw.org/ (Yup, that's our Man from Post 1012 sitting with the President. Our National Commander-In-Chief. He praises his Chaplain every chance he gets

Once at the website, mouse over "News & Events" and then go to "VFW Magazine." I guarantee, once you read just "one" story of your interest, you'll be back for more. It'll make you feel proud to be an American.

@LeeYou'll love the February edition..."Shoulder Arms In America's Wars: Rifle In The Civil War."

For the boat fans, like Lee ( ) I took my small (around 40 cm) SAR boat out for a test after having finished the detailing on the superstructure. As pictures say more than a thousand words:

Malden borders Revere. Yes, Revere Beach is a stone's throw from me I was actually looking at condos right on the beach. I wanted to sell my 2 Fam. I snoozed and loozzed

Revere/Malden is about 3 or 4 miles north of Boston. Right up route 1 north (for you visitors: 95 North)

Thanks! The thing I like about this type of vessel is the smooth curved lines. Most modern ships are more straight, and less curvy.

Another pic then:

Durk being Durk again

WOW Guys, you wouldn't believe the intensive manhunt going on. Helicopters all around/over our house. They robbed a bank in Saugus (next city over),, made a carjacking in Malden. There was a shootout around 5 PM with local police. I heard all the gun shots and knew immediately it was gun fire (40 shots reported). Everyone in the neighborhood has their back yard lights all lit up. One dead and one (possibly two) on the run. I have 'Ole Betsy ready to Rock N' Roll

Say hello to my little Friend

Mike.

Mike...and other fellas,
Speaking of illegal activity...
This is a video of a guy that stole a dirt bike from the state of Wisconsin. Then brought it back to Orland Park, Illinois. He taunted police for days...they did catch him. 22 years old. This guy has cohones. Look at what he does to taunt police.
Good p.o.v. with a Go Pro. This is pretty near me and was and still is big news. He has 5 videos.

The way he drives, he won't live to do a 6th video. Maybe by the time he gets out of jail he'll be too old to ride a motor cycle. He could easily killed someone. Freakin' nut Sadly, it's guys like him that give cycling a bad rap.
