Well Lancaster fans it looks like it's finally (possibly, maybe, I hope) going to happen: We're going to get a foamy Lancaster. There was an announcement on Hobby King's Twitter site. No particulars yet but there was a pic posted.

I'm pretty excited about it. It was a long wait. I wonder how big she is?

this was mentioned on the BH B-17 thread. Speculation is it's around the same size as the foamy b-17's starting to come out now. Around 43-45 inches span.

I agree-- I would like these bombers to be at least 60" wingspan, better yet, 72".

I'd think there's a good chance it'll be around 60-65", since a lot of the gear (retracts, door mechanisms) are around that size.

Nothing that really appeals to me for ages then all in one summer we get a PZ Mossie, the E-flite Hurri, and now the Lancaster. I guess I better be careful what I wish for

80" would be a honey. That would fly nice. I bet it's in the 60" range though. If that yellow line on the cement is around 3" then it'll be nearly 70" in span. I'm happy as long as it's not a micro.

Oh, yes please, a 72" Lancaster would be wonderful, although I'd take one a little bit smaller if forced.
grand slams, Dam buster mod, all kinds of options....

From what little we can see in the pic it looks damn nice. I hope the clear moldings are up to the rest of it. This might be one of those models I buy two of just in case it goes OOP. Waiting a long time for a Lancaster. A lot of us have. Hope this really does see light of day.

I'm with Ivor on this one, the bigger the better and 72" wouldn't be overly large for this model. It'd still be a parkie even at that size as long as it doesn't come out too heavy even though at 5 or more pounds it'd still be light for a big model.

My ETM Mossie and now this, I'd better start wishing for world peace because all the rest are being answered.
