Not being an RF guru, how close does a system need to be before it starts to become a worry?

Ya, the lack of a low pass filter on the Tx seems like the biggest potential problem
with this system. Older DL systems at 500mW or TLRS at 1W and above tends to
spew noise into the 1.2-1.3Ghz video band which can be very annoying if you
want a compact ground station. This system starts at 1W and has no low-pass
filter, so there's a very good chance it'll do the same.

Mictronics, do you perhaps know if the Chainlink system utilities bandpass filter/s on output stage?

thx

I purchased one of the JR versions yesterday. I don't know how long it will take to get here from fpvflying.com.

I'm using 900mHz data and 2.4gHz. video so hopefully I will not experience any difficulties. My TX is on a 10' lead to my GS so I think I should be able to get far enough away not to affect the GS equipment.

I sure hope it is packed better than the spare motor I got from them for my ICON A5, (A-488).

I'll probably try it in my 2.8m Discus CS motor-glider first.

We shall see,

Rob

Rob, please give us some feedback on how this system is performing!
I'm considering buying this UHF LRS.

Anyone else out there who has tried this LRS?

I was out today with my Futaba 9Z 35mHz and 202cm antenna on RX.
I got 1900meters when I lost contact with my plane :O :O
that was scary, I raised my TX antenna and I got signal again, and fly back home fast as #&/ !

Now I going to buy a Long Range system.
My goal is 5-10km nothing more!

Can anyone confirm THIS system can work on a Futaba 9Z radio?
If not, can you recommend me anything else ?

There are a total of 5 on these forums which do not include any that are overseas. DL, CL, TLRS, EZUHF, and this one so you have a choice on what you'd like to go with and they will all work almost any TX.

After getting tired of waiting on my chainlink I decided to order one of these. It shipped within 24 hours. Awesome.

Do a review when you have done a flight test
I have a Lawmate 1.2ghz, and wonder if that will work together with this

The Scherrer system is the gold standard. But I like the integrated module. I gotta check it out.
