Bajora, Thanks for the photos, too cool. The P-40 is one of my favorites. Ya, the sharks mouth has been used a lot but is timeless in looks.

Shark mouth scheme is "the bomb"! My favorite, a true underdog story in action. I know it's been done a whole lot, but for me, it's hard to disrespect

Yes, but the trick is to find an "N" model painted that way.

Tom

and I'm not talking about repainted "current day flying" aircraft that the historical accuracy may be in question.

Hell yeah... I want a Burma Banshee scheme in the WORST way. The FSK model is the only one I know of and the market is well overdue for a new plane with the fearsome looking skull on the cowl.

Regardless of what other schemes this model comes in, the scheme on the prototype is unusual and pretty... I would definitely buy one of those.

I like this paint scheme.

relatively simple and the white should afford good spacial representation for the pilot on the ground.

Like I said, some of those may not be "historically" accurate on an "N" model which was much later in the war.

Of course some aren't accurate for WWII, the photos are restored examples made up to look like period machines. However some full scale birds employ these mouths for that "authentic" look.

"authentic" to me means "correct" for that model aircraft.

This is a P-40 which have been used for the movie "Pearl Harbor".
Would be also great to have this kind of coat, with impacts of bullets.
