oh man! great stories! I have pondered putting on a string to the shore, but thought better of it. Thanks for the laugh! And I want to see the vid of the retrievals of both the incidences!

Chi, love the boat photos!

A message to all on this thread.
For the christians amongst you, have a very Merry Xmas. For those of other religions or none, enjoy the Winter Solstice tomorrow. Or the Summer one for readers in Oz, NZ, or other southern parts of the globe.

Well said! I'm happy to be heading home to visit my folks tomorrow for a week and change. Even at the tender young age of 28, (almost 29!) I always enjoy the time spent with loved ones.

Plus there will be a kegger for my buddy's birthday at the end of days on the 21st, and should life continue after that; turkey, and skiing.

Haha great story yourself Nick!! I want to see the vid!

Got the footage together, unfortunately I don't have the actual retrieval as I cut the camera when I realized I had to make a bit of a dash(which took a lot longer than I intended lol). But the first part shows the tragedy happen and afterwards it's just me messing around at a calm dock on the river(not so much of a tragedy as it still works 100% even after the electronics went swimming!).

Thanks for the vid! I'm sorry, is it wrong to laugh? Giggling like a school girl. (I would NOT laugh if you'd lost the boat though!)

I've got to change my impeller and go climbing again. Too much fun.

Nice! (Except for the tragedy!) Boat seems to be set up well, and moves along at a good clip!

It is a fairly nice area Chidago, I've lived along the river for 6 years now and have always stuck to planes and trucks/cars. Boats are great fun too! I'll need to look for something a bit faster for the bigger areas and lakes. Or perhaps just the KMB in one of Steves boats. That really moves along nicely and is still really agile.

It's ok to laugh 7, I would have laughed too and I did afterwards.

Now we need Nick to post up so I can laugh at someone too!

Thanks mate, boat goes ok, I'm sure the wide angle on the Gopro gives a bit of a false sense of speed.
