At this rate we'll soon have everyone singing from the same hymn sheet. Mind you, it will then become boring until someone comes up with a down-geared mini-gas turbine version, or one powered by a wood-fired boiler, an infinite improbability drive (courtesy of the HHGTTG), or some other off-the-wall power unit.
Turbine jet boat you say? If only I had the cash!

I think this: http://www.mhzusa.com/MHZ-JetCat-Mar...j-71149-25.htm

would mesh nicely with this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...e_X_Large.html

What's $5500 between friends?

About $5400 more than I have to spare for such things, friend But you're right, that would be a sweet set-up in the sort of ali hull 7car7 was talking about a while back..

Indeed. Also, I think someone in dock talk mentioned mentos and diet coke propulsion, but that might be harder to throttle.

That aluminum hull is a beauty! Would look even better with that jet cat turbine I linked to above!

I know the drives are good, I have seen them in a couple of the NQD boats around here. Definitely hauls ass with that setup! Being glass, you wouldn't want to run it in the creek of course, but I bet it would work well for the racing you want to do.

As for the name, I have had that question before, but alas it is just coincidence. I just liked the way it sounded when I came up with it back in the day.

Thanks..I know nothing about those boats at all...

LOL..the reason I asked is all the SLP cars are numbered, thought you mighta had the trans am # 989..

Yeah, thats what I'm thinkin, I have the NQD for rock climbin, and could use the KMB for the regular water stuff..

Must be good, decent german quality kmb / graupner never seen a bad product (yet)

i would buy this STINGRAY - River-Racer with my eyes closed when i had a bigger hobby budget, when the quality would be bad i would put it up for display only:
