A couple of pages back you were asking about MVVS motors. In fact, they ARE outrunners but they have an additional fixed outer case over the whirly bits! With the exception of two models in their range, that is. All the rest use a case design I've seen in industry but which is very rare in model motors.

MVVS are in that rarefied group of premium engine makers like OPS and, to a certain extent Rossi, whose diesel and glo engines have been near the top in contest 'U' control and FAI r/c pylon since Pontius was a pilot. They are an old and well-respected maker in Europe.

When they decided to get into electrics they used this unusual method of construction, which may convey advantages in model aircraft (?) but isn't the way to go with boats. The additional layer means normal inrunner cooling jackets will be less effective and normal watercooled mounts as used with outrunners would also fail to cool sufficiently. And even the best of motors with aircooling need additional watercooling in boats. They are Premium quality motors in their place. Which unfortunately isn't boats.

Btw, I like the idea of a coastguard theme. I put something similar on one of the trainer models I used for newbie model pilots

Very nice indeed. Amazing how many of us look to foreign climes for inspiration. I did a trainerplane in USCG colours, you went for the Guardia Costiera. Either way - nice

With you there Heinrich. Well, one of the guys in the US who follows this thread ought to snap it up and make a build thread for us all. How many cells could you get in that, I wonder. A bathtub jetboat! Chi or some other hooligan, here's your chance

I saw some open water even up here in the northern latitudes today.
Ya it was below a little dam, but you have to have many other open spaces way down in Chicago to show us some yellow boat jet wash video

Playin with the wife and the Eflite UMX Carbon Cub today. As the river is a little hard today, the urgency is off a bit on the Jet Boat. I'm waiting on the Epoxy white on the NQD to get really solid too. This little guy though,is as happy on hard water as soft.

Did you take any pics of the 'customer' boats other than the black one. Or were they delivered to their new owers in the original yellow or white for the end users to decorate to their tastes.
