Hello Mike
The topic with the roll can have 2 cases.
A delta-wing-plane can fly incredibly slow with high alpha. If you make a roll during very slow speed with the nose up (even only 5°), the roll will not be smooth. This is normal.

The other case is being tail-heavy.

Try in flight - if the roll comes smooth with maybe 1/2 speed, then it must not be the tail-heavy-topic.

Hello,
I went through the topic, but I found a lot of discussions on wrong parts, new retractable, CG place, paint scheme, etc.
I'm looking to just a page with the steps (e.g. where to glue, what reinforce to add, what glue, where to place servos, etc.) and some pictures will help me a lot.
I will really appreciate who is willing to help (me).
Thank you very much in advance.
Best,

Sergio

Have you ever built a plane kit before? Sounds like this may be your first kit. Everything is pretty self explanatory even without instructions.

Set the top half of the fuselage on your workbench, canopy side down. Set the main wings also next to the fuse. Study the shapes and you will see there are molded in recesses for all the main components. Even channels for the wiring. The rectangular recess in front of the motor is for your speed control. That's about it.

Latest project, Rafale 70mm

Bought two of these kits from US warehouse with no duplicated parts. Thought I would share on this kit as I build, my first issue was with the drag causing razed details on wings and elevators see photos. I sanded them out after looking at photos of the real thing, if you have any thoughts on this let me know! Also after reading other posts I agree that a cheater is needed, so included one in the mods

CORRECTION !
Cheater in the pics below did on work out well, ( too close to EDF ), the EDF did not like sucking air from one side. Recomend two large air inlets at rear gear bays, they could also double as hand launch holds.

RAFALE 70mm.

I just bought my rafale 70mm. I wonder if somebody know the loss of effect due to one engine and two nozzles?

About the engine Im thinking at wemotec 1w-30=1.9 kg thrust 4s or 2w-20=1.7 kg thrust 6s.

Hi Mike,
thank you for helping.
What about the wooden reinforce?
What glue do you suggest?
Best,

Sergio

A10flyer, two outlets can be as efficient as one provided they are large enough, checked the Rafal outlets diameter with my Exceed F-18 and they are about 1/16” smaller so will attempt to make them larger.

Build Update 2

Here is an update to the Rafale build, this is my approach to canards & rudder. I sand smooth and apply clear Polymer on intake & exhaust tubes, also use over acrylic paint or mix with for a matt finish, it is great stuff! & protects foam, I get it from rcfoam.com .

Looking good! I built mine with the non functioning canards. I am sure the canards will really help when coupled with the elevators. I may convert mine at a later date. Please keep us posted!

I couldn’t get enough up travel on the canards so had to cut notches into the top of the
Intakes & sand to shape.
