Sounds like the Apex Seals are either stuck in place due to carbon build-up from burnt oil, or they may be worn or broken.

Yes those Wankels do turn very light, someone unfamiliar may think that the compression is lost, the last versions do turn even lighter around. Has the engine been opened before by someone ? As I stated before this can easily be detected by the damage on the hex screws. There must be something wrong with the ignition or carburettor setting.

Hello Reginald !

Do you know where to get spare Apex springs for a MKII Wankel ? Or they are still the same ? I have also a candidate for a rebuild. Spring broke and Parts of it did get between apex and housing cover....

regards, Sebastian

Aprillia, the glow plug is new, did you check it to see if it glows orange before you put it in the engine? Make sure it is glowing brightly and the battery is not down.
Did you try an electric starter?
Did you give the engine a small prime before you tried to start it, or maybe it got flooded?
I’ve had engines that had almost no compression and would not start by hand. However, once they got started they seemed to run just fine.

I think it is a 30cc. I have a MVVS single cilinder diesel 15cc. And when he kicks back while starting.......He kick very hard!!
For those engines is a conversion kit for sale. I have also the glow head for that engine.

You can order these from Graupner Germany. I just ordered a few sets for my own use.

Condor 120fs

Just received this today, very cool! I like the fuel pump design.
No serial #'s and I would like to try and figure how many were made.

Time for some research.
