check out this new A-10 warthog

One of the guys that works for me is a captain in the air force reserves assigned to an A-10 squadron. He is deployed overseas and just sent me this cool picture. Now that is an A-10 that I would love to fly!

Do you have a park big enough to fly that A-10 in?

Nope and imagaine what size batteries it must take!

Seriously though I'm sure the guys are glad to have the A-10s around the base over there. Only an idiot would try a strike on our positions with those gattling guns waiting to rain down on the enemy!

Yeah, I've seen flight demonstrations of the real thing (no live ammo though) and they are impressive aircraft. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of the attack from one.

The A-10 turns fast enough that you don't need as much room as you'd think. The takeoff run is a bit long though, so you'd need a good runway, or at least a good stretch of straight road with no obstructions on the sides.

Neither will the GWS EDF´s, I´d reckon! Unless Mr Lin has something up his sleeve that we haven´t heard of yet.

Yes, I think I'll put a couple of EDF-1000s (1 meter) in there

Live fire for an A-10 is something to see. Its like a laser beam that walks over its target, then BOOM! The A-10 can also take damage like no other airplane I have ever heard of... It can lose an engine, half a wing and half a tail...hydraulics and avionics and still fly... You can shoot a 20mm armor piercing round into the floor of the canopy and make a nice dent...

Yep the A-10 is one durable bird. The guys who fly them are so defensive of them that if you even suggest upgrading to another close support jet, they will be up in arms (trust me on that one!)

I haven't got to see any live fire yet but did get to watch a video demo of the plane in action...amazing. I'll repeat an enemy would be insane to strike an area with them on guard.
