Are you gonna use the wing warping rigging?

That Farman is a natural born flyer . I built a peanut version out of one of Bill Hannans books and it flys for over two minutes indoors . The red paint job and the scaloping on the trailing edges makes for a very pretty airplane. I have a larger version ready to build from the same plans , just need the time to do it .It will be R/C electric this time around .

Yes, the aerodynamic scheme of this plane is very good. But concerning a long nose which can affect centering. The motor and dummy the boxer will give a lot of weight.

I would agree - and you will not have to increase the size of the tail surfaces beyond scale to have a good flier!

There was a Farman Moustique kitted by Flyline a few years back. It was 1/2 A size with a 39" span.

Yes, a parity of planes the classical. To change that it is not necessary. I have finished work of the drawing and the press on a paper sheet.

Peter Rake has designed an electric one that you might want to have a look at; Farman build

For scale like flying style you could have made it a bit larger I think, but might just have to keep the weight low and make good use of the throttle.

Yes, I have deep respect for talent of Peter Rake. Its designs are very well thought over and very popular.
I will show step by step a technique of building of my model. For a template I use beer aluminum. The template has some through holes a sewing needle. Holes turn out with a teeth along the edges. It very much helps with work of fixing of a template on balsa wood.Ribs gather in the block and are processed together.

Nice work, Konstantin! What kind of glue are you using? You are getting it down very neatly.

I like the cap strip construction. My question is whether the cap strips will get the covering high enough from the rear spar so that the sag of the material will not touch the spar. What is the cap strip thickness? Have you done it this way before?

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks Jim.
Yes, I use this method of more than ten years. It is very predicted and simple way. For pasting of strips I use balsa wood 1 mm 110 gr. Dm 3. I balsa wood before full saturation by hot water approximately 5 minutes. I consider as ideal glue white aliphatic polyvinyl acetate which is easy for processing a sand paper. Other skeleton CA.
