Any aircraft are illegal per the City Reg's buit I won't tell if you don't but could be a problem if the authorities show up.

Yea Tim - Duck week done flew south for the winter! We got clean sailing now. Had a few runs in there since and all seems pretty good. No problems all the way out to the fountains. Even drove past and back with a good sense of security. We will have more runs there coming up. Just a matter of better weather timing. When Spring and Summer hits - it's gonna be a popular place

Ken's plane was very quiet and he didn't pilot it very long - just a couple minutes max at best. Not even long enough for anyone to notice. He did a great job. There was another sea plane there but it never got out of the water, just cruised around at -0- feet sea level. It was all good.

Everyone was respoectful of the other and we had no problems. It was a fun run. Damn Mr. Chill left the AC on though so everyone had to leaveshortly after dark or risk frostbite.

Actually... as long as the aircraft is not being operated on liquid fuel or flying erratically, it is ok. State parks differ.

Scramble run 3/3

We had a scramble run today at Lucchesi Pond.

Top left: Greg maidens his Midwest MLB and little red mini-cat. Ed maidens a new Chris Craft. The bottom is the rescue MLB if any get away.

First up was Greg's MLB. Always nice to have another rescue boat in the mix.

Launch went well and all systems seemed good to go.

Greg was given the green light to test its limits. He clocked in a speed of 11.1 MPH.

It performed nicely so it was commissioned into the rescue group.

Next up was Ed's new boat.

As Ed launched the boat, it started to motor away slowly without a driver.

Lucky for ED, the US Coast Guard was testing in the same area.

Seeing the boat without a driver, they sprung into action and corralled the driverless rig.

Greg also maidened his mini-cat after the excitement of the rescue ended.

Thanks Kevin
It's a work in progress. I haven't decided on a theme yet so I'm just going through it and straightenting things up.
