Sorry for the loss of your friend......

Wow! The Pronto was my first build back in 86 or 87. I still have it and its still airworthy! Here's a few photos:

Thanks Banjo, I'm looking forward to building another one.

Nice look'n pronto ya have there.... My current pronto is getting homely-looking.. I either need to build another one of recover this one.. LOL
I also should biuld the 4ch wing for it.. but I have too much fun with just the 3ch setup... If ya have any questions just let me know..

Pronto SPAD?

I am a dedicated Spadder and would love to build this plane in plastic.
Are there any other measurements or specifics I need to know?

Also planning to build it as a 4 channel. Got a nice Evolution 40 trainer engine
that would love to sit on something nice and this plane looks NICE. If that engine
is too large/heavy, I have a nice OS MAX 25 that also needs a home.

I've got a few other things going on this summer and may not get to doing
it 'till building season (cold weather).

If you go to my blog, I have autocad DWG files if you want them. I used the drawings provided here. Not all the drawings have been completely dimensioned yet though...

That OS .25 would be right at home on the Pronto. I have a Magnum .25 on mine. The .40 would be overkill.

Pronto Thanks

Thanks Guys.
ritzone for the drawings and n00b-E for the engine clairification.
After looking at the first drawings I realized the 40 would be too
much for the size airframe.

Stumble..... glad ya like the pronto.... a 40 WONT be a good choice... the pronto will fly nicely even on an .09 or .15 for that matter.. Dave flew his with an un muffled enya .19.... and he could do outside loops all day long with that setup.. a good 20-25 will provide more then enuff power and with a 4 ounce slant tank in the nose provide you with plenty of flight time.. Please be mindful.. if you choose to build it as the 4ch SUPER pronto.. that the dihedral is NOT the 7" as required by the 3ch pronto version.. the 4ch only requires 3" or 1.5 " under each wing tip... The 4ch version used barndoor type ailerons.
Ya'll have a ball with either version and if ya have any questions.. plz feel free to ask.... btw... the pronto is a VERY fast build.. and as a scratch built, wont break your bank..

I had his Playmate and Super Playmate (.60) and loved them. He must have been a truly find men judging from his own writings. I have plans for his PRONTO and maybe the Playmate. Banjo, do you need Playmate plans?

Gwinhh....

I'd love to have his Playmate plans.. never knew there was a 60 size playmate. I've his pronto & super pronto plans as well as his parakeet plans... missing his squareshooter plans.. it was a great aircraft to as well..
The pronto and the parakeet biplane have been my favorite planes for over several decades now...
