Can anyone reccomend a good Power supply.
Hey all.. Just getting back after a 5 yr layoff. Got some new lipos and T6 MULTI 4x 1-6S LiPo / NiMh Battery Charger Balancer. Over the years i have moved a few times and cannot find my Astro 109 or my power supply.
 So I am wondering if anyone can reccomend a decent PS for the new charger I bought. Thanks. |

This is the PS I ended up getting and really like it. I have a Hyperion Duo III that works great with it. Fairly small and I think it's US made.

To each thier own. Most chargers will display the voltage from the power source and a $50 in-line watt meter between the power supply and charger will display volts,amps. mAh (Ahs),watts ,peak watts,min. volts watt hours and such. They can also be used in many aircraft to get real numbers such as max. amps. mAh used, min. volts etc..
A $4 DVM from Harbor Freight will give Voltage and another one with a shunt will give amps. Many choices to be informed if one so desires. Charles |

Ahh, that brings back some memories...
My college prof bought a bunch of used HP test equipment. One was this particular frequency counter. Digital? Yes. But the display was formed from individual vacuum tubes. Inside each one were filaments to represent all 10 digits! It also featured removable 'drawers' for optional accessories. Open her up and it was like displaying a piece of art! Sorry, OT. I couldn't help myself!

The Pyramid 13.8v 30A sold on Amazon.com is awesome. I used it for years and years, rock solid with multiple chargers hooked up. They have some higher rated A PSUs as well.

I'm using a WFCO WF-6880 RV power converter. It currently outputs 14.4V @ 80A but I have a mod for it (from a WFCO engineer) that will up the voltage to 18V @ 80A. I haven't done the mod yet and may not because I'm not using any LiPos over 4S right now and the PS, as is, will charge every pack I own at the maximum charge rate.
A nice bonus is I can also charge/maintain a lead acid storage battery with it at the same time I'm using it as a PS. Pete |

Many PS options out there, it all depends on your intended use & budget.
