Anyone else curious about the differing contest numbers on the tail and underside of the right wing?

I have a feeling Ron doesn't care much about the numbers, besides he has the German flag on the tail with HB-1958 letters, and the HB is Swiss. His plane, he can do as he pleases.

Nice plane Dean, I do have a question...looking at the pics and the root of the wing, where does all of the brass fit?

OOPs I do see where the brass goes, man that is a nice plane. Ron has the same one and it looks really good in the air.

Thanks for the input guys.
I'll remember the your connector idea Rick. I'm used to soldering so that's the way I'm doing this one. Lately have been eliminating heatshrink and using Goop.

Tow release and wheel brake will be JR8411. Wing servos all JR 378. Retract Hitec 7955TG. Elevator servo will be a Futaba brushless BLS 153. It fits the opening perfectly and is 97 ounces @6v.

Thanks for the photos Ron, what a beauty in the air. Mine has the same graphics as yours. I removed the stickers on the fuselage. The wing graphics are painted in the mold. Why do they do that, it must take alot of effort. I had PPG Concept mixed to match the dark red on the tips and plan to add more stripes to cover the existing registration and compition numbers.

Hitec -7945 TH titanium 319 oz retract
same for tow release---a bit over kill but works
Flew last week at Point of Mountain winds 25-32
it rocks---loves speed, turns great ,lands fantastic.
Enclosed are pics from the other day.

Thanks Ron,
That's the confirmation I needed before cutting a notch in the rudder for the horn. It took me hours figuring how the little bits of plywood fit together to make the rudder servo mount.
I'm sure there will be more questions.
Thanks again Dean

Dean,
Keep up the great work here, I am looking forward to hearing the flight report. I actually checked your model out up at Bob's place before you took delivery. I was on the fence but decided to pull the trigger on one last week. Mine might be here in time for me to get it going for the JR Aero-tow. What a great looking model. LJ

Awesome model Dean. Congratulations. Can't wait to trade trannys with you LJ. You can take a turn on the DG for a quick spin with your Antares :-)

I thought you guys might enjoy some photos of the first Antares 20E
that was imported to the US. Yankee Oscar belongs to Dave Nadler, and he
was flying in the 2009 18 meter NATS at Mifflin County airport which is about 30 miles from my house. He got sniffer duty most days. I have some nice video of this plane though I don't have time to edit it right now. Super quiet take-off on its huge in-runner and massive li-fe pack. Impressive aircraft at any scale.
