-ANNOUNCEMENT-Ready2Fly Worldwide Exclusive!VENOM de Havilland Swiss Edition


Dear Pilots,

Remember last year about a top secret thread that got lost?
Well here it is..

A Top Secret Project from our Hobby Shop: Ready2Fly here in Switzerland.

This is an worldwide exclusiv Jet with "non" Standard Electronics you find in your "normal" Jet's these days.

I am very happy to announce as a Ready2Fly Official Spokesperson of this very new Release!

Let's get started with the Technical Details!

Specs

-1400mm Wingspan

-Reliable EPO Construction with Carbon Reinforcements, painted and of course fit with high quality Decals.

-90mm EDF for 22,2V (6S) with100A ESC

-Electric Retract System made out of CNC Machined Metal with Suspension and with delayed closing/opening door

-Integrated Flaps and LED Light System

-Scale Cockpit with Pilot

-Almost Ready 2 Fly with 8 Servos.

Release Date: June 2011!

There will be a few changes made on the Airframe till then. So expect a few Changes going down the road!

Nice to see something not already made by 5 different companies.
Looks like it may be well executed.

But as suggested above, some folks dont want to have to buy 6$ batterie$$$

Not everyone has a landing strip or smooth ground/paved area so handlaunch and belly landing on 6 cell is going to be a little hairy.

I saw this earlier today when the video popped up on my YouTube subscriptions list. Looks fantastic. I've been off of EDF lately and on prop warbirds but this one has me thinking again. Just yesterday I saw pics of a Venom in a nice looking cammo paint scheme. Hmmm....

Awesome! The glassed edf model that was made two years ago was in the $1k range. I'll definitely be picking this one up! Absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's very well crafted but undecided got to get pass the fact that it's a new edf thing so my excitment don't get the best of me, in order see this edf for what it is, this is the new release season so im going to sit it out for a moment to check out the unveiling of all the lastest edf 's that are coming out

Nice looking model except the nozzle is way too big. The early jets were underpowered and had small engines. This one should have a 70mm fan in it and a more scale nozzle area. They do fly nicely and it's a lot closer to scale flying. You actually have to fly the plane with some thought about energy management.
Tongue in cheek, why don't you add an optional 8 second throttle acceleration response and you'd have a pretty good scale model.
