Cool beans guys. I am pulling the servos and ESC out of my Osiris. I've found one set of the metal gear conversion and I am planning on using that for the rudder. I figure the other control surfaces will be fine although If could find a second set, I use them for the elevator... I'm pretty stoked for this bird.

Oh boy, not again!!!
I just ordered a Slick with the sale going on. My question is to the guys using the Motorfly 4315-480 motor. With the additional wieght of @ 2 ounces over the Hacker motor, were you able to still utilize the pull-pull on the rudder, or did you have to place the servos in the tail to get the CG on.
Thanks,
lumpy

Ooh, good question. I will be using the the 714 and 4s 4000 gens ace. Will I be able to use the pull/pull rudder?

Make sure you get the light option with the fiberglass x mount. It is a checkbox when you order and $5. I run pull pull rudder with a 4s 4000mah pack about 1" from the wing tube

If going with the Motrofly 4315 and 6S, would it better to do the 500 Kv or the 480 Kv?

I was going to go with the 6s pack and the motorfly motor and share packs with my extreme flight extra but with 4s being so cheap do you think it is worth while running 4s to keep the weight down

I was thinking about and I'd probably do 4S so that I would have more options for helis and bigger electrics.

The plane likes 4s with a 100A esc and the 4315-714 with 15x7 prop

With the sale price of the 59 Slick I'm on the fence rather to get one or not. I have a 48" Edge, 48" EEP Extra and a 71" Slick gasser. Would the 59" slick be a good addition or should I hold out for a 71" Slick electric, 72 Extra 330SC or 74" Edge electric. Thanks!
