Building x468 landing gear - Build Log

Here is a mini how-to showing the build of my new x468 landing gear I will be using on my Hoverfly quad. I will also use this set on my hexa since they easily are removed and added to other 468 plates. The cutting is a high quality and assembly is very easy. Instructions are located under each picture

That is one smart looking set of landing gear. I really like the cross bars (arrow shafts). The legs are farther apart than most landing gear I've seen. Should make for strong support. Nicely done.

I go to my local archery club and pick through the broken arrow shafts. They keep them for me and any that haven't split all the way I take home and cut. The best are the ones that use braided carbon. They usually only break at the tip and I can cut that away.

Hey Mike, seems like with your battery tray on the back, a camera mount like this:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/atta...mentid=3694815
would work well too if the spacing for the top booms was the same as your frame.

I just found that open source thread.. and I'm looking at that CAD file right now.. just wish I had a cnc machine
