Steve, I am sure Roland can comment to a more accurate schedule, but he told me he is into August now.

The current wait list end is by end of August to early September, depending on the time I will return from Europe. Most likely some more orders will slip in soon for some planes which will be used in Sweden.
Still I could not find free molding time to make at least one or two planes for myself which I would need for Sweden, pushing the whole list backwards for about one week.
However, Still I can keep any promised shipping date within a couple days. Try to do my best to keep it that way.

Cheers,

Roland

Madden went very well. I added 2 gr to the nose moving the CG to 84 mm and bringing the AUW to 264. So this is my starting point. I'll fly it a while and then make ballast for it.

Had my 2nd flight today. Cleaned up the wiring, removed the reciever case and went back to 86mm CG. AUW now 260g. I flew it today in calm and 12.7 mph wind according to my Kestrel wind meter. When I'm settle for sure on the CG I'll make ballast.

I was sapposed to be but my wife got sick and I couldnt go. I'm using the NiMh that Roland send with the plane. Ive used the same batteries just in a square pack for over a year in my CX. You can almost 2 hrs if you want to push it but it is pushing it.

Forgot to mention:
Roland has a new servo that replaces the one he has been using for RDS. He also used the new servo for elevator on my plane (extra charge) and there is no slop and no double centering.

Hear is what he says about the servo:
4096 steps of resolution...... ! "0" dead band....... ! No gear lash! Super precise centering! Full metal gear! Just 0.8g more weight than DS 285 but 30% more power.

Just for info

The Concept had a good Showing at the 2011 IHLGF. Conditions were typical for Poway. Semi-predictable, yet difficult for most of the weekend. Overall winner was Mike Smith, flying the Concepts exclusively. Prelims were nearly dominated by George Morris, flying his Concepts exclusively. This performance cemented his 1st place position in the USA F3K Tour. It'll be tough for anyone to knock him down, regardless of what plane they fly. Dan flew his Concept, but I don't recall how well he did. I won't mention how I did, but I flew only older, well used and abused Concepts. Clearly, it was not the plane, but my lack of practice that held me back.(only 30 minutes in the last 45 days, prior to the start of the IHLGF.)

Fantastic planes. Thank you Roland.

Yep. George won the prelims and Mike won the fly offs and took the overall win. All you guys waiting for your Concepts gotta be stoked about that.

Me, I sucked big time but I love my Concepts and I had a great time at Poway.

I'll post some pics of my ballast tube set up and my nifty wing bags. You know you want some for your CX2...
