Would make a nice low wing loading model with a brushless and flown off water?

Have some pics of it in New Zealand, home of the All Blacks rugby team not that I like rugby cos Aussie Rules footy - rules

Unfortunately, this airplane just crashed, and the pilot was killed.

Anybody care to guess what it is?

Re the spiffy jet... Delphin. There's one of those, a Magister, a Paris and an L-39 sitting out at Fox Field right now.

An Aero L29C but the other one is hard to find due to the angle of the shot. Any clues Airventure?

Benny,
Nice job on the Kanpur II.

The shiny sleek plane posted by AirVenture is Jim Wright's replica of the Hughs H-1 racer. Jim's tragic death occured near here in Yellowstone National Park. It is very sad to hear of the loss of Jim Wright and the airplane he poured his soul into over the last few years.

I knew the first one was a racer, sort of like the Sirrus that Sir Charles Kingsford Smith disappeared in. Didn't see it in the news here in Aust. Sad to lose a classic but even worse when we loose the aviator.
