Benny,
Nice job on the Kanpur II.

The shiny sleek plane posted by AirVenture is Jim Wright's replica of the Hughs H-1 racer. Jim's tragic death occured near here in Yellowstone National Park. It is very sad to hear of the loss of Jim Wright and the airplane he poured his soul into over the last few years.

I knew the first one was a racer, sort of like the Sirrus that Sir Charles Kingsford Smith disappeared in. Didn't see it in the news here in Aust. Sad to lose a classic but even worse when we loose the aviator.
