Yep, It must have been a brave, or uniformed, soldier who climbed on board. The tow plane pilot's too. Do we continue to target with these this this slowing us to a sitting duck or realease and run?

I was in Normandy last year and went to Pegasus Bridge, if you are familiar with D-Day you know the deal.
They have the sites where the gliders ended up marked with marble steli and you wouldn't believe how close they landed to that bridge.
The commandos were sitting sideways and the only advice I would give them is don't look out the windshield!!!! Stare at your boots.

Yeah, thats it, a beauty isn't she?
There were only 2 built, 1 survived to a war surplus sale and was raced in 47, crashing shortly after the start. Since the driver survived I guess I can say I'm a little upset with him.

Not much left of the original P-40 design was there. I was for a while chasing the 245 on the tail which was useful during the search.

The P-40 was Curtis's last hurrah (as the expression goes)
Even the P-40Q didn't surpass the top line fighters of that time.
