Lets have some fun with mystery aircraft.
Just an idea, how about we put a photo up and the person who idenifies it then puts another up?
When identified info should be posted in case someone wants to have a go at a model. Anyway here is the first. Have a guess. |

Certainly is. This one is at the RAAF museum at Point Cook. Forunner of the Vulcan. Note the undercabered tips.

My mystery plane...
I don't like the plane... but all the planes i like are to obvious. (migs, 'F' series SU's ECT)
The Vulcan is my dads Fav plane.. from when he was young. What realy gave it away for me was the lack of a pointed tail... so I knew it couldn't be a vulcan... then your hint... "It led"... a little detective work... and bingo Waddle PS. Yes i did try to cheat and 'save as' the pic, but no luck. |

WD280 was used for testing here in Aust and was sold off to a Williamstown man who kept it in his backyard. He regularly maintainted it but his wife wanted the yard back so it is back at Point Cook where he spends most Mondays working on her. The tips were required due to tip vibration and were incorporated into the Vulcan.
Just thinking of how to power a model, would probably have to go ducted fan as there is little room for a pusher prop. A clue to the biplane. She was designed by a Kool dude. |

Yes Pete is doing a plan which I'll try to do justice too. I'd never heard of her till he brought it up. Koolhoven was the designer.

Hmmmm Looks very much like the NA Rockwell XFV-12A. Plenty of room for a pusher prop there?
