Some of the guys are there 9:30 to 10:00. The wind some times will pick up around 11:00 to 12:00. Most stay until 2:00pm. There are sail and electric power boats, some guys run the super fast boats on the other end of the lake.

Don, be aware that there is no close parking near the area where the INS guys gather, and the area is off-road type ground with dirt, tree roots, etc. You might have to hop a curb with your chair, and if you have any TSA Swampers you might want to install them.

dostacos,

Actually when we run our regattas we use an area that Kmot described. On the regular weekends we use an area that has paved close parking and good access to the pond. We meet on Sundays at the parking lot across the road from the public golf course. It should not be a concern for anyone wishing to join us.

I plan on being there on this Sunday with the Canterbury "J". I hope the Sana Anna winds will have died down.

I'm definitely in!

...either bringing a Newport 12 or a Santa Barbara..

This is a link to an aerial picture of where we meet. However, the picture was taken while the city was modernizing the area and adding a parking lot. The project has now been complete.

The wind is supposed to 11 mph around noon. Should be a good day for sailing.
