Well, I have joined the ranks of Newport 12 owners in the I.N.S. Thanks to fellow club member, Robert, for tracking one down for me on Craig's List. It is a 25+ year old kit that was never built. It has been in storage for 25 years! Will post pics as I start working on it.

Hi Rich,

I did not make it yesterday, It rained here in banning yesterday afternoon. I have been laying around not feeling good, one minute I am burning up the next minute I am freezing. I hope to be there this Sunday. The Canterbury J is still under construction.

Ed,

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I am just getting over being sick so I sympathize with you. We got rain yesterday morning so I didn't go to the pond. I don't know if anyone made it out yesterday. Hope you feel better soon.

Got the buoys out and as soon as everybody left the wind filled in nicely. Enjoyed a nice visit with Ed while I sailed the Kittiwake. Sorry everbody went home early. It turned out to be a very nice day for sailing. Thanks Ed for the company.

Hi Rich,

Thanks for setting the buoys out on Sunday, too bad we didn't have more boats on the lake. I might have my boat ready to float in 2 or 3 weeks.

I'm working on creating an Inland Nautical Society group on Facebook. I'm not sure if there is an interest, but thought I would try it out.

Looks great, Robert. Anything that helps promote the club is a good idea to try.

Nice turnout today. Weather was nearly perfect. It was great to see all the boats on the water together.
