Gforce Outrunner Mount Plate

I recently bought a Gforce E480 outrunner motor from these forums and I am now looking for the X-shaped aluminum mounting plate. If anyone has one to suit please let me know. Value Hobby has the part but won't ship to me in Canada.

Have you tried Heads Up RC?

They have X motor mounts for most motors, including those to be used with the Blue Wonders all the way to very large motors. Best of all, their prices are cheap ($1.95 for a 480 mount http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...ower-Up/Detail), though I have no clue if they will ship to Canada or not.

Good advice. I have the same motor, which was missing the same x-mount and found one at headsuprc. Measure the distance between the screw holes on the motor, and order accordingly. Jeff at headsuprc offers the best service and quickest shipping out there.

According to the diagram for that motor on Value Hobby's site, the hole spacing should be 25 mm. This http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...unt-for/Detail Heads Up RC mount has 25 mm mounting spacing to fasten the motor to it.

As sonny1 states above, measuring the motor mounting holes spacing should confirm whether it will fit or not.

Using my digital calipers from center to center, the holes are 18mm.

Then you should get this mount http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...ower-Up/Detail.

No motor that I know of is spot on with their mounting holes distance. Even my Eflite 450 and 480 have had to be "worked on" with a small rat tail file to "enlarge the mount's hole before attaching them to their factory supplied X mounts.

OTOH, my Park 370, Park 300 and Park 250 have been "spot on".

If in doubt, you can always call or email Heads Up R/C with any questions you may have.
