That much tape insure INDESTRUCTABILITY ! :-)

I've also been recommending some very thing ply doubling on the inside fuse in the front.

Enough to carry the loads back beyond the LE.

Thanks. I haven't quite figured out how I'm gonna do the motor mount, etc.

I used some surplus wooden window blind slats from the motor mount to the balsa le to beef up the front on my Funbat Ultra

If you look at my photos above you will see how I did mine. Light ply, depron and two pieces of square hardwood inside, all glued with 5min epoxy. The X mount is screwed through the ply and depron and into the square hardwood. I'm pulling over 25 amps/250 watts and mount holding up just fine.

And don't forget my post back in Sept 11
"Jon, perhaps you could have a word with Bob (birdofplay) re kitting the Funbat to reach a larger audience https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=80502. He's always interested in new designs and it would be great to see your model "take off" in this way"
Glad you have been kept busy and that your service has spread the enjoyment of such a great flying plane.

Thanks headless, but I'm gonna be in transit for a while.

Glad to CAD up stuff but cutting again may take some time to get back on line.

Say Head, you never answered where that EDF crash was ?
Or where everyboday else was at.

Got my two airframes built. (The pink one still needs its ailerons...) I made several mistakes along the way but, what the heck, they're intended to bang into each other anyways, right?

Now, I just gotta wait for the postman to bring me my parts.

I am moving from the West Coast to Indiana to be closer to the Grand Kids.
So I am going to have to cut off production this week.
Then the CNC wil get torn down and moved with me.

I currently have plenty of foam but getting close to OUT of shipping boxes.

I picked up my new dual axel Cargo Trailer yesterday. Lots of room for Foamys et al.

Thanks for all the support and business.
I will try to reopen ASAP.

See you all on the flip side,

Bob
