We want telemetry on Droids and USB

as per Andy's request.

i would buy both as i already use an Android Nexus One.

even if i have no one watching my telemetry for me, it would be cool to have a laptop or a netbook on the table behind me showing my plane's stats for anyone who wants to check it out.

hahaha of course you are! you probably already know if they're in the works. although, obviously, you won't "confirm nor deny".

It would be good I agree, but we shouldn't be surprised that these things come out for iphone etc. first as it is so much easier for developers to work with standardised platforms where they know for sure exactly what features and capabilities the devices have.

Just think of the attachment of the module alone, never mind the controls, screen size cpu power etc.

Good job.I was going to start this tonight if noone else did.
Definitely a USB dongle. I really dont want to deal wiith the whole smartphone thing. Not right now unless Im forced to.Just another distraction for me.Plus I seem to be really hard on phones.Wait...I just dont like phones thats it.
My lappy is already part of my field equipment for other devices. It probably will become obsolete at some time but for now its my standard. When it does Ill have to get another device.More sales.
Unless...it was all just code and could use existing Rx(WiFi) devices.Hmmm

Ok USB dongle it is.I vote USB.

Maybe a Droid.Im not sure iphones work with Sprint 3G.Geez this is getting my feeble old mind confused.
I still vote USB.

I want a USB dongle for telemetry, which is also autonomous for recording data (on SD-card for example) (unless DX8 will be able to record in AirWare 2.0).

DX10t will record telemetry data to SD card.

I vote for a Bluetooth version that will work on Android. Also, the phone app could record the telemetry data. Since I guess there are no plans to have the DX8 record telemetry.

Me too. That would be working for all Androids and also PCs.

There appears to be plenty of room in the DX8 tx for rmore stuff
why not do a full telemetry audio system -which allows a voice record and playback feature for each telemetry feedback-and put a speaker in the package

I vote for the usb interface and a pc program that allows you to program the radio from the computer. That GUI would be way better than doing it through the limited radio interface.
