I have a 5mm motor shaft screwed into the strut so it should provide enough strength to prevent the front gear from bending. I also decided to double up the front wheels with 2 inch dubro low bounce. I have 2.5 inch wheels on the back.

I like it. Nice & beefy.

Any issues with the prop hitting the ground with smaller tires in front?

Thanks. Flaps help for a steeper decent but they are not necessary, especially flying into the wind. I usually jut cut the power and let it float down. Its one of the easiest planes I have landed.

No issues with the prop clearance. I have the front raised up a little, but these wheels are bigger than the stock ones so they already raise the plane up a little

Anyone know where I can find the part that connects the 2 rods on the nose landing gear together? Its a metal rod that has holes in either end with 2 allen screws to connect the landing gear to the steering input, I lost my allen screw and have no steering now

You'd probably have to purchase spare landing gear. Check rc-castle.com, probably take a long time on shipping but they seem to have a lot of parts always in stock for FMS 1400mm Cessna 182.

I replaced my front landing gear with a Dubro 1/2A Steerable Nose Gear, and 2" Dubro wheels.

^I have that SNG already but running that alone would make the stance off on the plane (2 3/4" wheels), the extender I need made the stance perfect and it looks like the landing gear set does not include the peice I need.

I just bent the nose gear axle at the right height to align with the rest of the wheels. The stance is fine. It was a bear to get installed and attached to the control rod though.

The front connector did not come with the landing gear set I got...at least the FMS version. RC Castle has it for $5. In a pinch it wouldn't be hard to make one out of 1/4" aluminum rod or whatever the diameter is.

I use 3300 and 4000 mAh but my cg is sketchy but that's probably just me being a bonehead about the situation.

Added some bigger wheels on the cessna for better grass landings.

aprilla, nice pics again. I found them here in the states (towerhobby had everything) and got them ordered. Let us know if you ever get good weather how those wheels work in grass.

Looks like from some posts above, that a 3000-3300mah lipo pack should fit. This FMS v2 cessna has a huge compartment. I was able to barely squeze a 5000mah 2s in just for fun. I need to get some measurements in mm though.

3000mah lipos are not widely available in the UK. hopefully weather changes soon.

Looking at getting the FMS T28 as my next plane
