Would be more scale, but my understanding is that it would make steering on take-off difficult, what with no differential thrust, and low airspeed over the tailplane (no propwash).

Yeah, I see what you mean.

Hand launching is the way forward! Belly landings too, most of the time I dont bother with the U/C anyways...

After setting up spoilerons, it starts to bank to the right every time resulting in crash. It was perfectly fine until I did so using my DX8. Any reasons what could have happened? I use the gear switch and both ail goes up in which I set. Both seem to be going in opposite directions as well...

You should set that up on the Flap switch. You can also have 2 settings for your spoilerons with the flap switch. Simply set the travel.

I thought you can assign to whatever switch you want? Why would that be a problem?
Also, how much travel will bind the servo?

J,

I take it that you do a full control check before flying, you want to make sure that the ailerons still work with full spoilers.

When mine are fully up giving aileron just reduces the spoiler on the opposite wing which then makes the plane roll and yaw due to the differential in drag. This can be a bit awkward so I have mine on the flap switch and mostly just use half spoilers...

I did a flight check and both ail were moving correctly. I had the switch off too, so there were no spoilerons when I hand launched. 3 times to the same effect. Strong bank to the left. So frustrating, now I am repairing the nacelle.

You need to test the controls with the spoilers both up and down to check for full and free movement along with correct mixing....

After several takeoffs and landings the right wheel became harder and harder to turn and caused the plane to pull sharply to the right while rog.
Removed the wheel and found small globs of glue or paint on the wire "axle". Removed the build up by scraping with a #11 exacto.
Right wheels spins nice and free, just as the left has always done.
Ready to fly again!!
