Not really. You can pop up the spoilers and fly around slower. It makes the plane very stable and easier to land.

I land and take off from a concrete aircraft carrier that is 25' long, with a 5ft high rock wall "stern" and a 3 foot high barrier at the bow... so a predictable glide slope keeps me from breaking my planes, because I only get one shot at a landing.

That is the easiest way to do it.

Sweet...I might have to program that in to see how it goes...I guess you could use the spoilerons as you said for slower flight stability. Also, do you add in some elev mix to this?

spoilerons are good flaperons are bad

if you have a spektrum tx, it only takes a few mins to sort it all out.

firstly you need to set the brick to run each servo as a separate channel and then reverse 1of the channels. that informations can be found by searching this forum...

then for your transmitter. i just youtubed a video of how to set it up

I did have a noise prior to separation. it sounded like it was the gears spinning to fast and almost vibrate/screech.... is this the screech of death? or is it just from my loose prop?
any ideas?
also if it is the screech of death. what size are the mosquito motors? will Sp2's fit?
Cheers Chris
I could be wrong here but that sounds like you might have been coming in a bit too fast with low motor speed so the windmilling prop unwound off the thread

i was cruising 50%ish thrott.
banked and nailed it for a fast low pass.... and then Screeeeeeech
followed by
then
and then

im going to lube up the gears and pop the prop back on, then see if i have the same screech noise.
after that my only option is motor swap x2 as i dont want to be yawing all over the place.

edit: forgot to mention....... tiny brite lights on the way!
gone for
1 red
1 green
2 landing
1 white strobe
1 red strobe.
should look good

Sounds good!!

I've just done the Dual Aileron Mod on mine and mixed in some differential, might be able to get away without Ail/Rudder Mix now for nice Scale like flight!

btw, my longest flight was about 20mins using stock battery. I was cruising round at about 1/3 throttle under a nice dark cloud... Once a Glider Pilot, always a Glider Pilot!!

Dosn't it cast a damn nice silhouette? You can imagine a partial squadron of them flying overhead patrolling the English Channel in WWII. I do like this plane!

It's a stunning aircraft, love it to bits!

I'm after a larger scale model that I might even put twin 4stroke nitros in to sound the part, now that would be nice...
