Here is a couple more minutes of DogFighter action. FWIW, this is the same model that was at Joe Nall.

My yellow one in the video will be there for sure, either in the Hitec tent or in the Fly RC tent near the park flyer flight line. or both throughout the weekend.

Thank you Jürgen, that was some really nice flying - and filming!
It promises just as much fun and thrills as the Funjet, but in a rather quiet fashion so you can fly it anywhere also on weekends (and you can do stall turns :-)

cheers
Clemens

Thayer was nice enough to loan us the yellow Dogfighter that was in his video while we were at JOE NALL. Brandon Chitty managed to bring his stock FunJet with the recommended setup so we headed over to the Electric line late in the afternoon with both planes to do a little top speed comparison. I have used a radar gun on a stock FunJet a few times and consistantly see 90Mph, the one we had a Joe Nall flew exactly the same. I flew the FunJet, Mike Mayberry flew the Dogfighter (he claimed it was his turn since I flew it at SEFF) and without a doubt the Dogfighter was considerably faster.

Good filming and I like the background discussion "...hat genau gepasst, mit dem Ast" (3:28)

Do you guys think there will be issue with using 2300/ 20-30C batteries on this ?
@ 65C That's a much higher C rating than anything I've got currently ?
you just using them to reduce Sag overall ? or does it actually need that ?

Don't worry, your batteries will do fine. You can always adjust your max. current by using a different prop.

How much do those 2700mah batteries weigh? I was hoping to use the 2200mah 35-70C Nano Techs which weigh about 195g. Will this be too light...and cause CG issues?
