Not sure why this topic got as annoying as it has but to set the record strait it's a slope on Bluff street that is the color brown, not someone's name so that is probably why Dave said to remove the 's. Perhaps if one must make it a possessive proper noun then maybe it should be Brown Bluff's? Dunno

Actually I think it would be Lars' house. But I'm just a dumb redneck from Alabama so I could be wrong.

I think it's cool that everyone who wanted to fly this weekend totally scored whether it was Brown's Bluff, back side of Kite Hill or Ortega (sigh....Ortega...). That's why we're acting stupid.

Epic wind is like epic surf. Everyone feels like a pro.

Now back to Hilton Hotel Special Build II.

Hows the wind shaping up for the OC? Looks like it Fermin might actually be flyable today.

I didn't try. Wind was nice and strong but all the readings I could see showed far too much south in it to be flyable. I tweaked my radio settings for the ESO instead though and will see about trying them out today. In general a strong SW is flyable at Fermin but a true S like it was yesterday isn't. You can shift your flying spot around the cove a bit but then unless you're flying foam, landing becomes an issue.

Current mxsocal readings show SSW which is frustrating cause the Pt. Fermin windfinder forecast shows NE shifting to NW. I'll probably trek over around 1:00 and pray it trends towards SW or hopefully WSW.

EDIT: When do you think you'll get a chance to make it out here again?

Not for awhile. In a couple of weeks maybe I'll come over in a "good wind" day.

Got to Fermin and sat out in the car for a while, was about to head home and decided to go stick my hand over the cliff first. Definitely not the best day I've had there, but great for a light day. Was even able to float the ESO up high enough to land on the hill. May post a pic or clip from the GoPro if anything turned out decent.
