It was a radio hit...I swear!

The anchor around the neck is the environmental guys. No one can do any work until they give the green light. They found mold under the floor, sealed the house, and fixed that. Then they noticed it in the wall and while they were looking at it they decided to test for asbestos. Sure enough the wall itself was clean but they did find it in the drywall mud at the joints. Seal the house again for the asbestos clean up. That was fixed and then the plumber says:"I cannot pinpoint the leak we have to re-route the water line". That of course requires approvals from the insurance company. I have hardly any saying in the scheduling and my wife and I are bouncing around like pinballs. The next time I hear someone bad mouth Federal workers about performance they will get a mouthful from me with no holds barred!

I'll try to make the Fermin thing. It sounds like a fun outing.

It's the thing we all need to attend. Good time, even if you don't fly.

Some of us don't need no stinkin' excuses.

It has been a major PITA especially the insurance company and the various contractors. Get out and fly while the weather is nice.
Dang, really sorry to hear about that. We had a water leak happen when we were in Hawaii last thanksgiving. Luckily our neighbor is a plummer and he decided it was a good idea to shut off our water main when he noticed water flowing out of the garage. Definitely not a fun time so I hope you get a respite soon.

Anyways, I'm off to Japan on the 3rd so I'll unfortunately miss the fermin thingy. I won't be back until the 22nd at the earliest depending on work. There's a slim possibility I'll be able to snag some of my old planes from my folks house over there, but it'll be a fight with the wife over baggage room. Not to mention I slightly burned her out on my hobby during our family reunion a couple weeks ago. (Long story short, I bought a Alula for my dad and we spent a little too much time tinkering with it and, in her words, "not helping out", oops ) On the bright side, my wife and son will be in Japan till the 1st of October so I'll have some rare rebachelor time to spend as I like.

Water?

Yea.slopeadict;
I can tell you stories about water damage! I was able to stay home, but basicly lived less then camping style for over 2 months. Plus I just had my 3rd water leak over my dining room table that took out about 6' of drywall ceiling. Fortunatly I can do plumbing work and fixed myself. Don't want to go thru the insurance nightmare again.
You been flying at all lately? have not seen anyone, and started kiting again, so while the water is warm and we have wind.... well, lets just say I'm not dead... yet!

Will have to try and make the Fermin meet. Hope there is enough room for everyone?

Looks like we've got some good wind today!

Lars and I will be going up to Top of the World in just a little while, to maiden his lightweight mini-Macchi.

Lots of fun today at Misty Ridge! Although we did manage to get an unknown plane out of the tree. If anyone here on rcgroups lost a plane today up there PM me and we'll work out how to get it back to you...
