Yah, sweet!
On my quad I will mount my ESCs in the left and right chambers between front and rear arms. 1 will be mounted on the lower canter plate, the other one below the top plate. There's plenty of room...

x4FF3: am I correct that you have all props and rotations reversed?

This is mine:

Flyduino Cheese Plate, 34cm arms
Flyduino Mega
Allinone sensors (gyro, acc, baro, mag)
FMP04 5Hz GPS
ESC Turnigy Plush 25A
Turnigy SK3 2826 motors
APC220 telemetry
DYP ME-007 sonar
FrSky D4FR receiver + Turnigy T9x

still didn't fly, I'm fighting with motor pinout on Megapirate for Y6, and had to reverse rotations of motors multiple times....

Tip to all - make the motor wires LONGER with FCP, you do not want to disassemble it completely to reverse motor rotation or change a motor, it's a huge PITA

Hello l'm new here,

Let me introduce myself:

My name is Marc, I work as an engineer for an automotive supplier in Germany, near Stuttgart. I am car enthousiast, and addicted to RC flying for about two decades.

at Christmas, I started to plan a quadcopter, maidenflight was in early february
Setup:
Warthox centerplates 10x10 aluminium booms 4x Suppo 25a esc 4x Suppo A2212/13 1000KV with 1045 props Divide e impera! board with Atmel ATAVRSBIN1 and ATAVRSBPR1 3s 2200 25C zippy, 450mm wingspan (axis centerline) RC: DX8 with AR800 receiver, multiwii 1.8.2

Flight timer at 840g weight: 12 min (Power cut at about 14 and a half minute) maximum flight time 17min. 40sec with a zippy 3s 4000mah (donīt ask about payload...)

Flying nice, and i want more

The plan for a new one was an HEXA with T-Motor MT2216 900KV, but they weren't available. at the end, it becames an OCTOFLATX with 850 wingspan...

FCP Set, 16mm diameter Alumium booms (for the beginning) 8x T-Motor MT3506 650KV with 1245 props 8x Suppo 30A ESC Divide et Impera!V.2 (RGB led are in the pipe...), Bosch BMA020, I2C 3205 Gyro.

i finished the build yesterday by late afternoon (2 AM this morning...), but iīve still got issues with the board: 4 of the motors arenīt running (directly at the ESC: no problem)

i suppose, the script (1.8.2) has to be adapted, or something with the connection schema doesnt match. (multiwii OCTOFLATX)
http://www.multiwii.com/wp-content/u...OFLATX_328.jpg
Dead outputs are on A0, A1, A2 and D12
iīve tried with a Spektrum Satellit at the dedicated port on divide e impera! board, but in this case, no conection at all.

May be you guys could help me fixing that stuff

Cu, marc

Thanks!
Yes, the frame is self-build.
I ordered the other stuff at flyduino, https://flyduino.net/jtl.php
Nice shop by the way

Actually, weight is at 2020g, could be reduced to 1700g with carbon tubes, and without perimeter frame for stiffeness

@marc, why aren't you trying multiwii 2.0?

very cool build Marc!
Have to say so many things changes atm, ahrd to keep up.
Atm we experiment with a gimbal.
Throw a quickly edited video on the web
Its the frist outdoorflight, only thing we did was ballacing the propellers, no magic vib dampenig or something.
May a bit insane config, but we wanted to know.
The hex is very well, very stable, thank you Alex.

Hi Marc,

nice build!

You should go for the latest V2.0 release which you can find here http://code.google.com/p/multiwii/downloads/list.

The connection scheme is as follows:

Do you have a PPM receiver at hands? The big drawback with the promini is the lack of a second serial port. You will no longer be able to use the GUI or download new firmware one the Spektrum satellite is connected.
So, for the setup procedure you should use a PPM receiver and once everything is working switch to the Spektrum sat.

As far as I remember, there's no Spektrum support in 1.8.2! The first dev that had it was Danal's branch http://code.google.com/p/multiwii/so...1_8%2BSpektrum
