Hi,
I am experimenting with flight time right now and I wonder, ho much mAh you take out of your LiPos?

I got 2200mAh LiPos, how many mAh is good for the LiPo?
What is your experience?

Motors can not start

Calibration of the ACC was not done in the GUI
Gas value of 1100 (the GUI control)
D / R set in the transmitter, so you do not roll or YAW reach 1100 to 1900
Intrinsic calibration after connecting the battery, wait no (green LED still flickering)
No connection between the receiver and MWC Board
YAW and / or roll side rotated (reversed)

I was able to calibrate the system in the MultiWiiConf1_7 software. I could see the signals on the screen as I moved the quad.
The transmitter does have a D/R Expo setting. I have left this in the default setting.
When I applied power to the quad I waited for the flashing light to stop before moving or turning on the transmitter. The quad was level when I turned on power.
The roll and yaw appear to be correct based on my movements of the quad and the movements in the Conf tool. I did notice that there is a setting to reverse the yaw direction.

mincheck + maxcheck are used by arduino to check if your sticks on Tx are in end-positions.

if you dont reach 1100 and 1900 in GUI by moving your sticks to their end-points, the motors cant be started.

this is, because the arduino still "thinks", that sticks are not in their end-position.


in case you dont reach the 1100/1900 in GUI there are 2 possible solutions:

1. if your Tx has Endpoint adjustment, u have to put throw to 120 or 125%, in order to let the arduino know, that your sticks are in end-position.
after doing that do not forget to calibrate your ESCs again to the new range.


2. one other possibility is to edit mincheck /maxcheck in arduino sketch to a point your Tx rcan reach. ( i did it for my cheap HK Tx to 1180 and 1750. it works, but may affect other functions, shorter throw wont make control of copter easier ....)

You want to check the pack with a multimeter after flying and make sure it isn't discharging below 3v per cell (S number x 3) - this voltage is the same regardless of the rate mah of the pack.

Also as a general rule you should take out no more than 80% of the batteries capacity. So a 2000mah pack should be discharged 1600mah. Your computerized charger will show you how many mah the pack takes when fully charged.

General LiPo care charge to no more than 4.2v per cell - (so 3s is 12.6v fully charged) and never discharge lower than 3v per cell. I like to keep my 3s packs closer to 10.5v volts after discharge as dropping to 9v all the time will shorten the life of the pack.

This is a TO-92 3.3V voltage regulator on warthox MWC Board.
Its a LE33CZ a L78L33 will do also, almost all in in TO92 should do.


The new sensor bob arrived, but i am afraid i wont have more time to test and solder it today.
Will be done tomorrow, also will be added in the shop tomorrow.
This picture shows the allready mounted damping.
The board is for all sensors avaiable, some can be mounted almost plug n play.
Also some more features on it, more tomorrow.

Now you have me thinking about making a Flyduspider 8. That would look and really sound good. The rear legs on that spider in the pic stretches out like the original Flyduspider.

Hmmmmm, Flyduspider 6 and a Flyduspider 8. Sounds good to me.

Thank you for the information on the min/maxcheck function. Once I changed the setting on the transmitter to reach the 1100/1900 values the motors started working. Unfortunately I then ran low on voltage from the battery and then the sensors went crazy. I will charge the battery and complete the calibration.

Hi there,

just got the shipping confirmation of my BMA020 order from ELV!
They seem to have stock again (website says they can ship ex stock again; got a letter from them yesterday, telling me that my order will ship in KW46 ).

--> I think Paul will also have stock again soon!

i think the Flyduspider stays the Flyduspider, it s a unique name, at least, and most copter fliers are no biologist i think.
