I seems like the 10 amp ESC might be overkill too. I think I could get away with a 6-8 amp esc with 10-12 burst rating. Would shave off some grams and cost. Also, I can't seem to find a source for those motors in stock. I wonder of some of the other cd rom style motors in the 20-30 gram range 900-1100 Kv would work?

You can order direct at kedamodel.com, multicopterstore.com will be carrying them in a week or so as well.

Looked around on the kedamodel site and did not see them. I am interested in your new 7 inch frame designed around the round shields. Any news on those?

A 12" CF Y6 would be sweet. Been waiting for another frame maker to send me there 12" CF prototype but hate waiting. I want to transfer everything from my DIY Y6 to lighten it up. Im at 486g without batt now->

I just started test flying the 7" this weekend. We want to be sure the motors and everything is a good match before it is commercially available.

Oh I thought it was CF. I need a light frame as I already have mini G10 frames. I have done alot of experimenting with mini quads and prop/ESC/Motor combos and there are 2 motors I LOVE for small props. Both are shown here->

Thanks Tony, I am going to subscribe to your other thread as I would like to use my wathox wii board on a 12 inch or less setup.

Just an FYI, the difference with this mini frame is that the FC shield IS part of the frame-

These are just prototypes, and if they do well, and we sort out the small issues with them, we may try them in carbon fiber if there are lots of requests. My only real concern is that they will be pretty expensive for such a small frame, I am concerned that people may not want to spend say $75 for a mini CF frame....

If you made these in CF we could really get the weight down. I wonder if we could use some of those 2S 10 gram outrunners and little 3-5 amp ESC's with a light 450 pack?
