Thought I would take a few pics before covering.
Frame complete, all insert planking done. Has 3 coats nitro-cellulose lac.
Will use silk on bottom fuse. Using a combination of tissue, silkspan on rest, and or Cover-lite.

Will be able to guess the AUW a little better now. Will try later.
Should have very good thrust/wt. ratio.

Greetings Oliver,

I am using a Hi-Line shroud, cut KY rotor, Mega /3, on 10-1100He cells. I have a similar thread on a earlier page. That has pics of the early frame stages.

Looks great! How long did it take to get to where you are right now? Are you planning full-moving tailerons or hinged?

I'd like to see a close-up of the tail if you get the chance. Motor mount, taileron linkages, etc.

John, So aren't you. You amaze me just as much

Thanx Barry Have to do some test gliding w/out fan, to verify the C.G. Then it's throw & zoom, I hope.

AZ_Astro, thanx. I started actual construction two weeks ago wensday. Have it almost covered from yesterday.

I have a thread previous with more info. But, no tailerons. I can build it lighter w/ conventional ail. & elev. I'll bring the page up, as I don't know how to post the url for the thread.

My F-8U has tailerons. Am thinking of changing this also. They play hell in the grass.

Ah, a "real" gunfighter;-) i don't ever see F-8's anywhere, and I think they have much more character than the cousin A-7 goat sucker.

that F-16 looks great
i'm gonna have to start one one of these days
i can't afford the fancy brushless so i'll have to use the AP29l
it would work wouldn't it?
not a stand on tail plane like i'd want but should fly?

I hate tail picks on landing, killed more great planes that way.

Hey Glen!
The KY fan & AP-29L will work fine. Just make a intake lip for the fan. Use a exaust with 60mm outlet. The fan will sit at Bulkhead# 8-8A. Insert from the front.

I made two hatches, one for the radio and one to assist the exaust installation. When the sun comes up, I'll take some pics.

Did a balance trial, and the batt is in the cockpit area. Now for the canopy mold... uggg!

Hey Barry.
