I hear about it happening on RR, but I have never heard it here.

It has happened here repeatedly...

curious how does this compare to PA Ultimate AMR for those 3DHS pilots who have both?

Here are some pics of my vyper bype unboxing. I got some pics of the wing attachments you guys were asking for(I think).

My captions on the pictures of the wing mounting got cut off a little bit. This is how they should read:

Bottom wings: This is a picture of how the bottom wings attach to the plane. It is like just about any other 3dhs mono wing plane. A carbon fiber tube slides through the fuse and the wings slide onto that. Then you hold the wings on with a wing bolt on each wing. There is also 2 magnets per wing and fuse side that help hold the wings on. This picture was taken from the bottom of the plane looking through the hatch.

Top wings: This is a picture of how the top wings attach to the plane. A carbon fiber tube slides through the center mount attached to the top of the fuse. Then the wings slide on to that and are held on to the center mount with 4 magnets per wing. There is also a carbon fiber anti-rotation pin that goes through both wings and the center mount at the back of the wings.(not shown)

For those of you who like Great Planes aluminum back spinners, the 2" looks really nice on this plane (I like the white on the red plane), but if you are using a Motrolfly 3615-750 motor, you are going to find that the hole in the spinner is too big for the prop shaft...so...you will need a bushing to center it up....If you would like me to make you one let me know, and I will....cost....$1.00 for the bushing and shipping in the U.S....I figure that's fair...

My red one is scheduled to arrive today . I was curious and went to 3DHS website to see if there any spare parts available...just in case but it doesn't look like it's available yet.

As someone who can't do rollerz and spends more time tumbling manuevers should I even bother looking at this or stay with my mxs and laser?

It tumbles nicely, knife edge spins pretty well, rolls can be wicked fast, hovers pretty easy. Harriers take a gentle touch, but are completely do-able. It will probably teach you to be smoother in a harrier actually. Rollers aren't my strong suit, I can do them as long as I use only elevator or rudder, but when I try to do it with both my brain shuts down
I still enjoy flying the bipe though.
