You can use 85MG all over. But Personally on the one I am flying I like 5085s on the whole thing for the torque/precision etc. theKM has even used the savox digital HS-65 alternative and it works. I forget what that number is 255 or 256 or 257 or whatever those crazy numbers are.

51 slick motor/etc/battery combos work great. I would recommend nothing bigger than a 4s 2500ish I fly on 4s 2200 and 4s 2500s but have tried up to 4000 which are a bit heavy.

hmm... 2500? on my 42 i use 1550, and that barely gives me 4.30 flights and thats WAY too short for me... id like around 6min... and so 5085 on tail, 85mg on wings, hacker and ice 75 that is for me... ehh... as much as i understand on 51, recomended hacker gets HOT... motrofly i can't get in london... any other less hot alternatives? somehow lately i have started not to watch throttle...

The Savox 0255 is considered as the HS-85 replacement. Problem is it's a bit smaller than the 85, close to a 65 so some modification to the plane would probably be needed to fill the gap.

I have been flying the 0255's in the bipe... with abuse they will get a little backlash in the gear train, but their action is pretty smooth in operation... need to be looked after more than HS85MG's...

The recommended Hacker will get a bit warm if you don't build some scoops to direct airflow to the back of the motor. If you do that it's perfectly fine. I ran one for two summer seasons here in Arkansas in 95-100 degree temps. After building the scoops the motor never got above about 115-120 degrees F. No worries at those temps at all.
No motrolfly in London huh? I bet we could arrange to fix that. If you wanted one I can buy it and when I receive it have it shipped to you. That is what will likely go in my bipe. I just converted my 51" Slick to that motor from an a30-12xl. With the lightened version of the 3615 the weight was 7.2 oz with x-mount/prop adapter/nut/washer, which is only about .3 oz heavier than the a30-12xl I think (I forgot to weigh my a30 with all the goodies on when I pulled it out). But the motor makes a good bit more power than an a30-12xl and run cooler to boot.
