Transporting lots of models is easy with removable tailplanes,
your front dowel and bolt sounds ok, just would need a stab seat strong enough to stop it wobbling, and you know how to get that done,

Blanik/Vivat

Hi guys,
looks great to see this one build.
Not many model are around and I was dreaming of one too but a bit bigger.
I like the motor gliders more then the gliders. In our country all is very flat and to get up high, one needs a tow and tug. Many times I have been waiting with very good soaring weather...and NO tug .
So I want to go both ways now. In scale 1/2.75, or 36.36% this would be a two part fuselage and two part wing. All possible to load in a normal car so to speak. What is more, the wings and the tail with elevator and rudder, from behind the wing are the same on both planes!!!
I will decide in a few weeks what the next project will be...

I never had a chance to fly the Blanik L-13 as I lived in Schweizer country when I learned to fly, LOL

Full scale Blanik L-13's have been grounded after an Austrian L-13 had a wing spar shear near the root in flight resulting in two deaths, this applies to all variants as well. The aircraft in question had an incomplete flight log and it is "assumed" there was far more aerobatics performed than what was recorded(several years of missing records while on the wrong side of the iron curtain) and out of a abundance of caution they were all grounded. An inspection procedure has yet to be finalized, but one thing is for sure, it will not be cheap!
