Why not just have a pair of flying glasses with text display around the edges.

Your peripheral vision must be a lot better than mine. There's no way I could detect flashing colour without looking down or holding the transmitter up. Even when I'm only looking up about 10-20 degrees I can't see any movement from where my transmitter would be.

Oh thats right, you guys don't see much of the sun do ya
One of the first things I was shown was to block the sun with the Tx. And of course not being a tray user I'm accustomed to having the Tx close to my visual proximity.
And when sloping the altitudes don't get to extreme for long.
So,yeah, for me and my kind a high quality color display can be useful but 'we' understand you folk do things different over there.I mean that whole right hand drive thing.
Hey,at least we agree on which end is up eh?
Now ,'bout those down under chaps....

Skies.

Well, flashing light is pretty good idea for alarms IMHO, but it can be just a led, standalone, separate, bright (configurable, automaticaly adjusted by outside light level and so.. but all in all just a simple led... and thus it has nothing in common to display.. Or even a lcd display backlight may flash red instead of white or green... still perfectly contrast in the sun, even if both led and backlight would be invisible in real sunshine..

Delivery of the new Jeti Tx has slipped back to December. I would expect the actual deliveries to start in 2012.

There must have been a problem some where along the line...

I remember before the internet when we would see little pictures of new products in the magazines about 6-months after the trade fairs and then forget about it until they either turned up in the shops or were never seen again. Life was much easier when we didn't get out hopes up!!

Maybe it would be better if manufacturers didn't make claims for a launch date when they all seem to miss them nowadays?

What I do think is a shame is that I have heard that the Jetibox profi has been ready to ship for ages but they are delaying its release, perhaps because they don't want these sales to interfere with potential transmitter sales. Maybe this rumour is not true?

Vince, just curious where you heard this ? I've been following the german RC forums (via google translations) and haven't really seen anything recently about delivery dates (delayed or otherwise).

Maybe December 2012? Or 1013? Or 2014? Maybe never?

It is not that easy to develope and produce such a device, especially, if this company did never do something like this before. Perhaps the responsible people of this Jeti-company underestimated all the difficulties?

I give all of you the advice: Don't wait for this new Jeti Tx, go on with your hobby and be surprised, if one day there is a Jeti Tx to buy.

That is not the antenna, that is a carrying-handle, what you see. The antenna is build-in the Tx-case. At least, the datas say so.

hi gedaso,
Here in the UK we have one of the Jeti dealers, Puffin Models and the owner, John posted a message;

"Puffin Models wrote Re: Jeti on September 06, 2011, 20:03:14 PM

DC-16 now due to be available December - with the DS- to follow."

As he is a Jeti distributer, I assume he has had information direct from Jeti?

Thanks Vince. I'm a RCMF member and occasionally check the news there but hadn't seen that post.

I'd agree that John @ Puffin Models should know. Nice to get some solid info rather than pointless drivel from some drones...

hi Juergen,
You can buy meat from supermarkets or small local stores.
