3536 Rewind

Hi,

I have some 3536 motors (2814 stator) with 12 stator teeth and 14 magnet poles, I would like to rewind one to have 2800 kv and ~40 A with a 5x5 or 4.75x4.75 prop like the Axi2814/6.
Do you think it's possible, maybe with Delta connection ?
Thanks for your help.

Which motors are they?

If you have already stripped the stators and know the turn count, termination, and Kv it was advertised to have you can enter that in a turn calculator and it will give predicted Kv's for other turn counts and terminations.

I am thoroughly addicted to the use of manuel_v's Turn Calculator 5 which is free for the download at the link.

If you don't have Excel you can download the free OpenOffice.org suite and use the Calc application to run the spreadsheet.

If you know the turn count, termination, and Kv and post it I can post an image of the spreadsheet result it you'd like. Or post the make and model and maybe we can find the info.

Look what I just found!

"Rewind HXT 3536-1000 (2814 mm stator)" - https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=923854

I thought I had seen something like that here before, 3536 did not come up in the forum search tool but I googled it and it did come up.

You can use the results others have gotten to feed the spreadsheet and close in on the wind you want.

Hello Jack

Most are Turnigy 3536 1450kv, in this size it's very difficult to find a motor with 2800kv like the Axi2814/6.
I will follow the links you give me and look Turn calculator.

Thanks

Hi
Try 3 turns per tooth Delta dLRK (6 t per pair that is 6 conductors per slot)
Preliminary test for filling the slots by choosing wire AWG & #strands
Then rewind and test the Kv

Hello Louis,

I will try it, now I'm just reading powercroco website to know what size of wire I will use.

Thanks
