Whoops!

Lost my Cessna 182 to wind...

Yes, everybody will face this problem one day, what I know is that on that day my number was up..., the plane is MIA on the woods.
But lesson learned...and now I'm equipped to do a better search on next time, bought the loc8tor. (hope will be no next time on this)
So, friends watch, have fun and learn something without loosing a plane...
On the movie you will see my plane disappearing (the gust blowed she away in seconds, no control) and some tests I did with the loc8tor:
Lost / Crash Cessna 182 rc plane to wind (5 min 25 sec)

Hey Nelson

That was some hurricane that blew up! Sorry you lost your lovely new Cessna, but you know what they say..."once flow, never forgotten". And it really was only once!!

Now the funny thing is, I've got a Loc8tor but I don't use it on my planes, perhaps I should. We use it on the cat!! Yeah, our cat has one of those little receiver tags on his collar, because he has a habit of getting lost and not being able to find his way home. Really I'm not kidding, our cat is real stupid, and we've found him twice with the Loc8tor.

All the best
Andy

Yes, stupid hurricane and stupid woods and also stupid pilot too, too much stupidity for just one day, but I think my new one will be better than the first!
Lol, good to know that works on cats too, I have two dogs that deserve one of these tags.
Now, I'm curious to see what will be the paint scheme that you will do in your J3, let me know ok?

Regards

Nelson

Hi Nelson

The U2 paint scheme, my vote goes to the bottom picture, bare aluminium top half with light paint underneath and black 1960's style nose cone.

Andy

Hello WildWeasel I received your pm. I read it and forgot that I had not responded . The pm then quickly move down my pm list where it was easier to forget. Thank you for spending the time to pm me back. Sorry that I left you hanging. I really feel like a Jackass . I tried to pm you earlier but saw no place in your blog to send a pm. I hope I'm not on your ignore list.

I have found one WildWeasel that worked with my dad since we last talked. My dad said hi and thanks for the kind words. He went and polished his medals and cleaned up the area that he puts his military stuff that night. He has not done that in a while. Thank you . I also did reading about the AMX. It looks like a nice plane. A rc AMX ducted fan model would be cool. Sorry for the 2 month respond time.

Robert
