Hey vyper,

I have the DEVO 10 and love it. I like it so much I am building a copterx 450 fbl black angel and am putting a 2702 rx in it. Plus I have heard good things about the 2702 rx. I have heard the same negatives about the DEVO 7. Oh, and the screen on the 10 is readable in direct light.

Good Luck

Devo10 is the old 2801 feel, and no touch screen, but more user friendly than the devo7.

Devo12 is happy, happy, joy, joy, but for $500. And you will have a bunch of functions and switches, and knobs that you wont need or use.
I have a Devo 7 and don't like it. It takes 10 times more steps to program that a Devo 8. The batteries will go to low shut off after 10 to 15 minutes of programming. I only use with Phoenix SIM.
The Devo 8 has most of the features of far more expensive TXs. The only issue I have is the display outdoors, but it is really not a problem. I have all my models on the Devo 8. I updated it 10 the 100mw as well.
When I got the V400, it came with the old manual. I emailed Walkera and did get the correct Devo manual several Days ago.

Let try that again........RED color shows differance I'll have to do some research on the gear material, polyacetal.

Don't know if polyacetal is better or not but the other stats make the 654 seem better.

here you go....

Polyoxymethylene (POM), also known as acetal,[1] polyacetal and polyformaldehyde is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts that require high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability.

Sorry to see you crashed.

Apart from the tail end, is there any more damage?

I just rebuilt mine tonight after crashing recently.

This time, instead of using just a single weak upper frame I have decided to triple it. People have doubled it in the past, so I thought I would go one further. It should be super strong, I hope.

Hope you get flying again soon.

Well i made mine look the same lol, i had a brain glitch and down she came , tail heavy! I am rebuilding using my bros made up frames , plastic , i will test them and see whats up. They are strong with all the other parts. So this may work.
I will ahve to wait for tail motor , blades ,and other stuff to replace this crash stuff. But right beofre that i had the longest i verted hover. It was like i was on the sim, oh well ,i dont have video either , it makes me more calm,

Hello,
I adjusted the pitch setting as you suggested. I checked for binding of the servos by manually moving all 3 through there full motion. Then ran with the blades off to check for binding again. I still can't get any controllable hover. I'll attached a video of my flight testing as soon as I can shrink it down to size. The video shows the following:
spool up
moving the cyclic in all directions to show swash movement
50% collective
100%collective
full forward cyclic - no flight
full right cyclic - no flight
full back cyclic - we have lift-off
full left cyclic - we have liftoff

Kdean , after your carbon upper upgrade, does the heli still have the side to side wobble from lower to upper frames??

If so im thinking this heli's mounts are just very weak. It may be time to upgrade to the 450 frame instead of rebuilding this one, but i would hate to see cocos frame unused? Does anyone need the 4everframe?? Its one or the other im thinking now! And im not sure what to do?
